Watch: Tyrese Haliburton, Matt Campbell, Josh Pate, and More Raise a Glass to Brock Purdy
As former Iowa State quarterback Brock Purdy continues to prove doubters wrong, Iowa State football released a video featuring some Cyclone legends coming together to support Purdy ahead of Super Bowl 58.
Players, coaches, family members, and Cyclone legends everywhere filmed themselves sending positive messages for Purdy as his team prepares to take the field against Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs.
The video showcased the likes of Purdy’s parents, Rocco Becht, Tyrese Haliburton, Matt Campbell, Josh Pate, Jamie Pollard, and many more all raising a glass to Brock Purdy.
Purdy has been an incredible story since he was selected by the 49ers with the final pick of the 2022 NFL Draft. After injuries sidelined both Trey Lance and Jimmy Garoppolo, Purdy was called on and stepped up in a massive way.
Since stepping into the starting lineup for San Francisco, the Arizona native has thrown for 5,654 yards and a touchdown to interception ratio of 44-15 in 25 games played. Purdy has a chance to lead the 49ers to their first Super Bowl win since 1995.
In order to do so, Purdy will have to take down another former Big 12 quarterback, Patrick Mahomes, in the biggest game of his career. Super Bowl 58 kicks off in Las Vegas at 5:30 PM CT on CBS.
