Watch: Brock Purdy Stars in New Toyota Commercial
Former Iowa State quarterback Brock Purdy starred in an all-new commercial with Toyota trying his hand at providing some “Purdy good advice.”
Purdy was shown working out and training while discussing advice regarding NFL Draft Day nicknames, outfits, and what type of car to purchase.
After being selected with the last pick in the 2022 NFL Draft, Purdy was thrown into the spotlight after injuries to both Trey Lance and Jimmy Garappolo. The former Cyclone gave the staff enough confidence in his rookie season to move on and trade former first-round pick Trey Lance to the Dallas Cowboys, with Purdy set to take the field in 2023-24 as the unquestioned starter.
In two seasons with the team, Purdy has been a revelation. The Arizona native has thrown for 5,654 yards in his career and has a touchdown-to-interception ratio of 44-15. Both seasons for the 9ers have been impressive, yet they have fallen short of the ultimate goal. Purdy’s 49ers lost to the Philidelphia Eagles in the NFC Championship game after Purdy tore his UCL. In his second season, Purdy bounced back in a big way as an MVP candidate, leading San Fransico to the Super Bowl before being taken down by Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs.
While Mr. Irrelevant has already proved himself to be so much more than that, Brock Purdy will likely have a chance to climb the mountaintop again this season with serious aspirations of taking home the Lombardi Trophy.
