Houston Lands Temple Transfer Damian Dunn
The rich get richer, and that is the case for the Houston Cougars. Temple Transfer Damien Dunn announced his decision to join Houston’s squad following his entrance of the transfer portal.
The sophomore guard had an impressive season with the Temple Owls last season, averaging career bests in points and assists.
Dunn averaged 15.3 points per game last season and was one of Temple’s best scorers on the court also while being a decent rebounder and facilitator. Dunn added 3.7 RPG and 3.0 APG for the Owls last year, and with two years of eligibility remaining Dunn is a great get for the Cougars.
The biggest game of the year came against the Cincinnati Bearcats, someone who Dunn will see much more of now in the Big 12 Conference. Dunn scored a whopping 34 points back on February 22, which the Bearcats ended up following 88-85 in a triple overtime loss.
Dunn and the Cougars will have a tough task ahead after leaving the AAC to join the best conference in basketball, the Big 12. Dunn steps into an open role for the Cougars with the departure of Tremon Mark to the transfer portal. Damian Dunn is a perfect fit in Houston.
