After a stellar career with the Houston Cougars, Ed Oliver ranked No. 2 on PPF College’s list of the highest-graded players from the 2016 recruiting class.
The defensive tackle had a grade of 94.9 that tied him with former Ohio State star Nick Bosa and puts him behind Alabama’s Quinnen Williams.
Oliver was drafted No. 9 overall to the Buffalo Bills in the 2019 NFL Draft and is entering his sixth season with the team.
At Houston, the 6-foot-1 defensive tackle became the first player in school history to become a three-time All American during his career with the team from 2016-18.
In his last season with the Cougars, Oliver missed four games due to injury but still put up impressive numbers, as he finished with 54 tackles, 14.5 of which were tackles for loss.
The Houston, Texas native was given several awards throughout his collegiate career including being named Walter Camp First Team All American, and finishing as a finalist for the Bednarik Award, which is given to the nation’s best defensive player.
This past season with the Bills, the former First-Team All Conference player totaled 34 solo tackles, as well as one interception, helping Buffalo finish the season 11-6.
