Police Charge Five People Over Threats Made to Colorado State’s Henry Blackburn for Travis Hunter Hit

While Colorado’s Travis Hunter and Colorado State’s Henry Blackburn made it clear that there was no bad blood between the two following the Week 3 matchup, after Henry Blackburn received thousands of online threats over a hit on Travis Hunter, the Ft. Collins Police Department stepped in and charged five individuals for their online attacks.
While Blackburn’s hit was flagged for targeting in the Week 3 matchup between Colorado and Colorado State, the duo made things right following the event by collaborating in a Travis Hunter YouTube video addressing the situation.
Despite the pair affected by the situation patching things up, the internet went ballistic on Blackburn sending thousands of death threats towards the senior safety.
Things calmed down in the aftermath of the situation and remained relatively unchanged until a recent development from the FCPD (Fort Collins Police Department), where the Police force charged five individuals over their threats directed at Blackburn.
Police Chief Jeff Swobody spoke to the Denver Gazette’s Nate Lynn saying, “It is common for emotions to run high during sporting events. However, making threats to the physical safety of a person will not be tolerated and will be investigated fully by FCPS.”
Colorado and Colorado State will take each other on in the 2024 season in Week 3 of the non-conference schedule on Saturday, September 14th.
