Oklahoma State OL Caleb Etienne Commits to BYU

BYU may have landed the best OL in the transfer portal, with Oklahoma State’s Caleb Etienne heading to Provo.

Etienne started all 13 games for the Cowboys last season, and with his incredible size, strength, and finesse, Etienne should come in and immediately boost the depth chart at OL.

Standing a whopping 6-foot-8 and 310 pounds, Etienne is a one-of-a-kind college player who is men’s league ready. While some comments from Mike Gundy and OSU coaches mentioned that he lost a position battle which resulted in his decision to transfer, there is no way around the fact that Etienne leaving for a different Big 12 team is a massive blow.

The senior from Kansas had some incredible rankings coming out of high school, as he was graded as a three-star prospect by On3’s Industry Rankings. Etienne was the 31st-best player in the nation coming out of high school, as well as the second-ranked player at his position, and the eighth-best player in the state of Kansas.

Etienne’s decision to leave Mike Gundy and the Oklahoma State Cowboys is a major gut check for a team who is still unsure of who will be taking snaps at the quarterback position.
