DraftKings Releases Big 12 Football Win Totals for 2023
The 2023 college football season is still a few months away, but with spring football behind us, the preseason is just about to start.
Before long, preseason magazines, rankings, and betting odds will be plastered all over the place and college football fandom will reach its peak just before things kick off in late August.
In fact, the first major sportsbook has released its College Football Win Totals for 2023, with DraftKings dropping the numbers on this beautiful Friday in May.
While it won’t be a popular opinion among the other fanbases, the Oklahoma Sooners and Texas Longhorns are atop the boards at 9.5 wins a piece, making them co-favorites to land in the Big 12 Championship.
Just behind the villainous SEC duo is K-State, who has an O/U win total of 8.5. The reigning Big 12 Champs are atop our Post-Spring Power Rankings, and the hype appears to be justified by Vegas’ standards.
Baylor, TCU, and Texas Tech are next on the board at 7.5 wins apiece, with Kansas, UCF, and Oklahoma State coming in just behind them at 6.5 wins. That group of 6.5-7.5 win totals will likely produce at least one surprise contender, and for now, our money is on Joey McGuire and the Texas Tech Red Raiders.
BYU comes in with an O/U of 6.0 wins in 2023, meaning that Vegas think Kalani Sitake and the Cougars are due for a tough start in the Big 12.
Next, in a bracket of their own, is Iowa State, at an O/U of 5.5 wins. Matt Campbell and the Cyclones finished dead last in the Big 12 for the first time since he arrived on campus and will look to get back to bowl eligibility in 2023.
Cincinnati, Houston, and West Virginia come in at 4.5 wins a piece and represent the bottom of the Big 12 in 2023, at least according to the folks in Vegas that set the lines.
