Watch: BYU’s Cosmo Cougar Takes Over Big 12 Offices
BYU‘s mascot Cosmo Cougar is on the move and has his sights set on the CEO position of the Big 12 Conference.
While commissioner Brett Yormark currently runs the show, it’s only a matter of time before he finds help from someone new, someone in the shape of a cougar.
@nbsp;With the BYU Cougars becoming an official member of the Big 12 Conference on July 1st, Cosmo’s moved in things like his BYU flags, snare drums, chocolate milk, and more. The Cougars are one of four new addition Big 12 schools joining the UCF Knights, Cincinnati Bearcats, and Houston Cougars in their new home affiliated with Brett Yormark and co.
While it’s no secret that Cosmo Cougar is one of the best mascots in the country, BYU brings in some incredible fan environments in both basketball and football. While the football team still has some questions to answer and positions to address before playing their first football game this season, BYU’s LaVell Edwards Stadium has one of the most scenic views in the country with a mountainous landscape surrounding the arena.
While mountains can’t been seen from inside of the Marriott Center in Provo, BYU fans are some of the most passionate basketball fans in the country and you can witness that anytime an opposing player steps up to the free throw line. BYU fans bring inflatable balloon people, funky color combinations on signs, and every last distraction possible to try and affect the game from the stands. The Big 12 Conference officially enters a new era on July 1st, and with BYU entering as an official conference member, the future is bright in Provo.
