Welcome Gifts For Each New Big 12 Fan Base: UCF, BYU, Cincinnati and Houston
The big moment we have all been waiting on here at Heartland College Sports has arrived. As of today, BYU, Cincinnati, Houston, and UCF are officially members of the Big 12 Conference. To celebrate the good news, I thought it would be nice to show our new members a warm Big 12 welcome by giving them some gifts. So here are some welcome gifts I would give to each new fan base. If you don’t like it, sorry I don’t take returns, but I hope everyone enjoys them. Let’s get to the gifts, shall we?
UCF
A Jacket
If you live in the state of Florida, you can probably count how many times a year you need to put a jacket on. In fact, some of your Floridians maybe never have to wear a jacket. I mean, it’s the sunshine state for a reason, right? However, your school will now be in a conference that has some cold locations. Provo, Ames, Morgantown, Manhattan, Lawrence, Cincinnati, Stillwater, Lubbock and even Waco and Fort Worth from time to time get cold. Especially in the months of October and November. My advice would be to drink a little liquor to warm you up along with a good jacket.
Houston
Tickets and Tequila
This one was tough for me, but I decided to go with tickets and tequila. With the news of the Big 12 wanted to head south of the border, I thought giving away some flight tickets to Mexico would be a clever idea. However, I wanted to kick things up a notch and add some tequila as part of the gift as well. I will be honest with you folks; I am not really much of a tequila drinker so hopefully something like a Casamigos will do.
Cincinnati
Smoked Sausage
I will be honest with Cincinnati fans: I really don’t know a whole lot about the fan base and out of the four new schools, the school I am least familiar with is Cincinnati. However, when I think about Cincinnati, Skyline chili is the first thing that comes to mind. Why? Because I like chili. I mean who doesn’t love some delicious chili? While I do enjoy a good, hearty bowl of it by itself, I am also a big fan of chili cheese dogs. Where I come from in Texas, sometimes we replace the traditional hot dog with a German/Czech sausage. With so many great BBQ spots across Big 12 country, I thought sending some smoked sausage would be a nice option as well to throw some of that famous chili on.
BYU
Beer
I know what you are thinking already. They sell beer in the state of Utah. But I am not talking about just normal beer. I thought I would send some beer over 5% ABV due to the fact that the only places that can sell beer over 5% are state controlled or at a craft brewery. As a lover of craft beer, I want BYU fans to enjoy a nice brew without having to jump through hoops. Whether you want a 6-pack or 12-pack, I got you covered. And if regular beer isn’t your thing, I will have a non-alcoholic beer option as well. In this conference, we like to tailgate and no matter what you drink, we all like to have a good time.
