Kansas State sophomore quarterback Avery Johnson inked a new NIL Deal on Friday, which hooked up the rising star with a custom, one-of-a-kind lavender Corvette.

The deal, facilitated by Long McArthur Luxury, resulted in a viral photo of Johnson standing by the car in front of Bill Snyder Family Stadium.

“When one of our athlete partners requested a custom, one-of-a-kind lavender Corvette, we made it happen,” Long McArthur shared in a social media post. “Avery Johnson will be riding around in style this season. Who’s ready for the season to start?”

Johnson, a rising sophomore, is stepping in as the starting quarterback in Manhattan and is one of the hottest names in college football. The Kansas native saw action in limited games as a freshman, filling in for Will Howard on key drives. In his first season of college football, he posted 479 passing yards and 296 rushing yards, along with 12 total touchdowns and zero turnovers.

Johnson’s Heisman hype stemmed from his impressive performance in the 2023 Pop-Tarts Bowl, where he led the Wildcats to a 28-19 win over No. 18 NC State. Johnson accounted for 249 total yards and three scores, which helped kick off his preseason Heisman hype train. Johnson enters the fall with the ninth-best odds in the nation and the best odds of any Big 12 athlete to take home the Heisman Trophy in 2024.
