Bears flagged for record 215 penalty yards in 41-27 WVU loss

There’s no truth to the rumor that the officials flagged Baylor’s bus as it rolled out of Milan Puskar Stadium.

But that scenario wouldn’t have been too far fetched.

The No. 4 Bears killed themselves with a Big 12-record 215 penalty yards, but that wasn’t the only thing that went wrong on a blustery Saturday afternoon against West Virginia.

Baylor recorded its fewest offensive yards in four seasons and the Big 12’s top defense couldn’t get stops at key times as the Bears walked away with a 41-27 loss to the Mountaineers before an emotional crowd of 60,758.
