After bye, Baylor starts long grind back to national stage

Without a game to play, many of the Baylor players watched college football on television last weekend.

Quarterback Bryce Petty went hunting, but came away empty handed.

“I’ve got the stinking Petty curse, which is unbelievable,” he said. “Any time I try to go hunting, I don’t see anything I want to hunt.”

But all of them would have much rather been on the field to get the bad taste out of their mouths following their 41-27 loss to West Virginia on Oct. 18 in Morgantown.

The No. 12 Bears are eager to resume their season against Kansas in Saturday’s 3 p.m. homecoming game at McLane Stadium.
