Briles confident Bears can get 1st win in Oklahoma

Crossing the Red River has never been much fun for the Baylor football team.

When the Bears traveled to Stillwater last November, they were pummeled 49-17 by Oklahoma State on an icy night. It was easily the Bears’ worst game of the season, but they recovered to win their first Big 12 title.

Since winning a road game at Tulsa in 1995, Baylor has lost 18 straight games in the state of Oklahoma. Ten of those losses have come to Oklahoma State and eight to Oklahoma.

On Saturday, the No. 10 Bears will head north again to try to pull off a first. Baylor has never beaten Oklahoma in 11 games in Norman dating back to the first meeting in 1974. Game time has been set for 11 a.m. on Fox Sports 1.
