Matt Wallerstedt has resigned as defensive coordinator of the Texas Tech football team, citing personal reasons, according to a Texas Tech news release.
Earlier in the day, reports surfaced that he was dismissed after he was suspected of being under the influence of an unknown substance while at the team’s football building Monday, according to ESPN.
