The verbal shots from the Texas Longhorns started coming Monday morning from Austin, and quickly grabbed the attention of the Baylor players.
A Baylor-Texas rivalry that was already hot rose a few degrees heading into Saturday’s 2:30 p.m. game at DKR-Texas Memorial Stadium.
Texas wide receiver John Harris sounded like he was still living in 2009, the year of the Longhorns’ last Big 12 championship: “They’re still Baylor. Just because they’ve started playing better, good for them. We’re still Texas.”
