Yes, the players have the @‘s on their uniforms instead of just their last names, as is traditional at pretty much any other school or program. Why? Well, probably just to get people like me to talk about it, which, if that’s the case, it’s working.
However, the reactions on social media have been pretty much unanimous: This is ridiculous, and it makes it even harder to take Colorado seriously.
Colorado will open up its season against North Dakota State on Thursday, August 29.
