Three-Star WR Gio Richardson Choosing Between Three Big 12 Schools

NCAA Football: Texas Christian at Baylor

Three-star wide receiver Gio Richardson announced his cutdown list that features three teams: Kansas State, Arizona, and Arizona State.

Richardson, a 5-foot-11 receiver from Arizona, set his commitment date for the Fourth of July and will decide which Big 12 school to start his college career at.

Coming out of Basha High School in the Class of 2025, Richardson is listed as a three-star prospect by the 247Sports index and the nation’s 1240th-ranked player. He also checks in as the 180th-ranked receiver in his class and the 11th-ranked player in the state of Arizona.

Kenny Dillingham and the Arizona State Sun Devils received the first visit for the Arizona native on May 31st, followed by Kansas State on June 14th, and Arizona on June 21st. As a junior in 2023, Richardson hauled in 55 catches for 893 yards and 10 touchdowns. One season prior, Richardson helped contribute to Basha High School claiming the Arizona Open Division State Championship.

While things can change quickly in the world of high school recruiting, according to a report from Wildcat Authority’s Jason Scheer, “The general belief is that it is between Arizona and Kansas State.”

Richardson’s decision day will be one to follow in the near future, with three teams in the new Big 12 duking it out to land his services.
