Deion Sanders Issues Surprising Apology

With Colorado head coach Deion Sanders shutting down specific interview questions in a recent press conference, in his latest installment, Sanders apologized for the situation.

Sanders shut down a question from a CBS Sports reporter about a recent article that was criticized, saying, “CBS, I’m not doing nothing with CBS.”

“Is the guy here from CBS? Who’s here from CBS?” Sanders asked on Friday. ”Tell him ‘He know. He know.’ I want everybody to know that we was good then, but they made it seem like we wasn’t good. We’re good. I love him, and I appreciate him, and tell him I’ll do a one-on-one sit down with him. We’re good. We’re good now. We’ve been good, but we’re really good now.”

Sanders’ original comments were rumored to stem from a Big 12 coaches power rankings piece that listed Sanders at No. 15 on the list, though that report has yet to be confirmed.

“You are who you are. CBS is CBS,” Sanders said. “Ain’t got nothing to do with you. I respect you. That’s why I told you that. I’m looking you in the eye as a man. I respect you. I got love for you. But what they did was foul.”

The viral moment garnered backlash from many members of the media, including longtime analyst Jason Whitlock who called Sanders a “thin-skinned fraud” and “softer than baby poop.”

With the start of Colorado’s season just 12 days away, soon enough, headlines surrounding the program in Boulder will likely focus on action on the field instead of off.
