On Tuesday, NFL legend and current Colorado coach Warren Sapp provided an incredible quote about the Buffaloes’ defensive line in 2024.

Sapp mentioned that the defense has bullets at every level and that opponents will have to choose what they get hit with.

“I wouldn’t single out one guy because we’re a pack,” Sapp said. “We’ll be six-deep. We’re just mixing and matching. We got bullets. You get shot with a .38 or 9mm. You pick it.”

After a Hall of Fame career in the National Football League, Sapp elected to join Deion Sanders’ staff at Colorado and help bolster the defensive line. The former Buccaneer is one of the most accomplished defensive tackles in league history, posting more than 500 tackles and 95 sacks in his 12-year career.

In addition to his quote on Colorado’s bullets, Sapp mentioned his joy for coaching and how much purpose being at Colorado has given him.

“For someone that never wanted to do this, I am really addicted to it right now,” Sapp said. “The babies are really giving me a purpose in life, and I’m enjoying it.”

Sapp and the Buffaloes defensive line will make their debut in 2024 at 7:00 p.m. CT on Thursday, August 29th, vs. the North Dakota State Bison.
