After playing his last two seasons with the West Virginia Mountaineers, forward Pat Suemnick announced that he has transferred to Oklahoma State for his final season of eligibility, via Twitter.
The 6-foot-8 forward originally committed to DePaul, but reopened his recruitment on June 13 before flipping to the Cowboys.
Suemnick played his freshman season with the Robert Morris Colonials before averaging 4.1 points and 2.6 rebounds in 2023-24 with WVU.
Although the Mountaineers struggled this season with a 9-23 record, he led the team to an upset win over No. 3 Kansas on Jan. 20 with 20 points and six rebounds.
The former Mountaineer was efficient from the field, shooting 53.4% from the floor and 40% from three. He also played a large role in West Virginia’s upset win over No. 25 Texas on Jan. 13, posting 16 points and six rebounds.
Oklahoma State hired Steve Lutz as the program’s newest head coach, and he has made several additions through the transfer portal, including Arturo Dean (FIU), Robert Jennings (Texas Tech), Marchelus Avery (UCF), and Davonte Davis (Arkansas).
Mike Boyton was fired this offseason after his seventh season in Stillwater since the team went 12-20, placing 13th in the Big 12.
