Five-star Class of 2025 shooting guard Isiah Harwell set his commitment date for Sep. 12 with the Houston Cougars amongst his final four schools, per Dushawn London.
Harwell is also considering California, Gonzaga, and Texas, as 247Sports ranks the 6-foot-6 guard as the 10th-best prospect in the 2025 cycle.
He is also listed as the No. 1 ranked shooting guard and plans to take an official visit with the Cougars on Aug. 22.
In an interview with 247Sports, Harwell said, “It’s going to come down to a feeling. With me, it’s about chemistry, what they do for their players, and what they can do for me.”
With official visits to Gonzaga and California already completed, London reports that he also plans to meet with the Texas Longhorns in late August.
Houston just completed its first season playing in the Big 12 Conference, finishing 32-5, which placed them first in the league. The Cougars’ season came to an end in the Sweet 16 in a loss to the Duke Blue Devils.
The team was led by All-American point guard Jamal Shead, who averaged 12.9 points and 6.3 assists in 2023-24 before being selected 45th overall in the 2024 NBA Draft by the Toronto Raptors.
