After making headlines for being the only major name in college football not to opt-in to EA Sports College Football 25, it appears that Texas quarterback Arch Manning has had a change of heart.

Either that, or his team pulled off an ingenious way to make him one of the biggest storylines tied to the most anticipated video game of the summer.

Manning, a redshirt freshman quarterback for the Longhorns, used the help of his uncle, Eli Manning, to announce to the world that he is, indeed, in the game.

As one of the biggest names in all of college football, the addition of Arch Manning to the Texas roster will make the Longhorns an even more popular pick in Dynasty Mode.

It will also make him one of the most sought-after players in the transfer portal, that is, if his virtual counterpart should decide to test the waters of college football’s free agency.

Manning will sit behind Quinn Ewers on the depth chart in 2024, with Ewers also serving as one of the three cover athletes for CFB25.

As one of the highest-rated players in the 2023 recruiting class, it will be interesting to see what Manning’s overall rating is in the game. The good news is, we won’t have to wait long, as the game is set to release next week.
