Depending on who you are, you see Texas A&M fans in one of two ways.
The first and most likely way you might view the Aggies is as a cult. They have some incredibly—we’ll call them “unique”—traditions as a fan base that makes the people sharing a stadium with them feel weird.
Chants are one thing… but this?
C’mon guys.
The other way in which you might view the A&M fan base is an incredibly passionate group that is so invested in their team and university that they don’t care how goofy something might look, they do it anyway because that’s just what Aggies do. In a weird way, there’s a certain level of respect deserved when you’re willing to be a part of that.
And, let’s not kid ourselves. College Station isn’tJust Home of the 12th Man for no good reason. Texas A&M fans are incredible when it comes to building a home-field advantage—apparently the best in the country?
Over the last several days, Texas A&M fans have been in high hopes, too.
The Aggies hadn’t won a national championship in football, baseball, or basketball since 1939, and after taking a 1-0 lead in the College World Series finals over Tennessee, it appeared that 2024 would be the year that “The Drought” would finally end.
Well, that didn’t happen, as the Vols bounced back and won the series with a 6-5 thriller in Game 3 to knock off the three-seeded Aggies.
To say that A&M fans were in their feelings is an understatement, and Twitter—naturally—couldn’t get enough of it.
