Texas Longhorns Set Orange-White Spring Game for April 23

The Texas Longhorns have already started working into motion specific plans for 2022, which includes the announcement of their 2022 Orange-White spring game. The University made the announcement on Twitter on Tuesday morning that the game will be set for Saturday, April 23rd.

The Longhorns are anxious to turn the page from 2021 after the program went 5-7 in Steve Sarkisian’s first season in Austin, which included losing six of seven games to end the year. All eyes will likely be on the quarterback position, as Sarkisian is expected to have an open competition between five-star transfer Quinn Ewers, who left Ohio State to return to his native Texas, and Hudson Card, who began the 2021 season as the starter, but eventually lost that role to Casey Thompson. As for Thompson, he hit the portal this offseason and is now with the Nebraska Cornhuskers.

Texas will need to use spring to hopefully figure out who is going to be starting at QB, because come fall camp, there’s little time to continue to evaluate, as the Longhorns open up the 2022 season taking on the Alabama Crimson Tide.
