Texas Reclaims Thousands of Season Tickets from Brokers for Fans
Getting tickets for Texas games at Darrell K Royal Stadium in 2023 was quite the task, as the Longhorns’ program was resurrected after a decade-long hiatus. Steve Sarkisian led UT to its first Big 12 title since 2009 and their first College Football Playoff appearance in school history.
It was quite the season for Sarkisian’s group, but the 2024 home slate might be in even higher demand as the Longhorns transition to the SEC. With that in mind, Texas administration decided to give UT fans a break when it comes to finding tickets.
Texas Athletic Director Chris Del Conte announced on Tuesday that the Longhorns are reclaiming over 4,000 season tickets from brokers and will make those available to fans once again.
This is incredible news for fans of Texas football, because the upcoming slate of home games in 2024 and beyond is fantastic. In 2024, the Longhorns will host Mississippi State, Georgia, Florida, and. Kentucky in conference play.
Add to that a nonconference slate with three home games, and you’ve got seven contests to sell with season tickets, which should be incredibly fun for Texas’ first run in the SEC.
