While Jackson Arnold is the quarterback of the immediate future in Norman, the recruiting war in college football demands that teams stockpile talent for years to come.
That’s why it was such a major deal for Oklahoma to land the services of 2026 four-star quarterback Jaden O’Neal on Monday.
O’Neal, who is ranked as the No. 6 quarterback in the 2026 class, committed to the Sooners on Monday afternoon and sent OU fans into a frenzy.
A consensus four-star signal-caller out of Long Beach, CA, O’Neal ranks as high as the No. 31 player in the country, per ESPN, and is considered a top 10 quarterback by all major recruiting services.
After landing a pledge from the 6-foot-3, 200-pound junior, Oklahoma now has the No. 3 class in the country for 2026, trailing Florida State and USC for the lead.
The Sooners also rank very highly in the 2025 class, coming in at No. 7 nationally, per 247Sports.
