Oklahoma State Cowboys

Oklahoma State is Second-Most Bet Underdog in College Football in Week 9

The Oklahoma State Cowboys hit the road to take on K-State on Saturday and the Pokes are getting no love, again, from the oddsmakers. But is the betting public actually right?

The Cowboys are 1.5-point underdogs in this game, which makes Oklahoma State the second-most bet underdog in college football for Week 9.

73% of bettors are on the Cowboys here, according to betonline.ag, which only trails Michigan State as a 23-point underdog against Michigan.

Of course, Vegas usually isn’t this wrong, but they have been on Oklahoma State so far this season. This is the fourth time in five Big 12 games the Cowboys are underdogs this season, despite the fact that the Pokes are 3-1 in league play.

And if you want to look historically, Mike Gundy is a great bet as an underdog. He is 15-2 against the spread as an underdog since 2018. What gives?! In the words of Rodney Dangerfield, Mike Gundy “gets no respect” in Vegas, and I can’t quite figure out why.

Meantime, another Big 12 game, TCU at West Virginia, has been the third-most bet game on favorites, as the betting public loves TCU to cover the 7.5-point spread.

Oklahoma State vs. Kansas State kicks off at 2:30 p.m. CST in Manhattan, Kansas.
