With the reveal trailer for EA Sports College Football 25 officially released to the public, fans now enter the portion of the offseason when the rating formula steps into the equation.

Two of the games cover athletes, Colorado’s Travis Hunter and Texas’ Quinn Ewers, debated in between photoshoots if anyone in the game would receive a 99 overall rating.

According to a report from On3’s Griffin McVeigh, Hunter believes that he will be listed as a 98 overall in the game due to his dual-threat ability on offense and defense.

Instead of listing Hunter as a corner or a receiver in the upcoming release, the Georgia native believes his rating will be combined into one superstar athlete.

“One person, it’s got to be the same,” Hunter said in a YouTube video.

Ewers backed up the claim of Hunter being the most likely recipient of a 99-overall ranking, saying, “I’m not sure if they’re going to put anyone at 99, but if they did, I think he’ll be the closest to it. Just because of his overall ability on offense, defense, and special teams. He can do it in all three phases.”

While official ratings for the game have not been released, fans will have their answer to the age-old question of ‘Which player is the best’ in just two short months.
