2025 Five-Star Guard Darius Acuff to Announce College Decision on Friday

NCAA Basketball: Final Four-National Championship-Kansas vs North Carolina

The No. 1 ranked point guard in the 2025 cycle, Darius Acuff, is set to make his college decision on Friday at 5 p.m. EST, per Joe Tipton.

Acuff, a Detroit native, is still considering the Michigan Wolverines, Kansas Jayhawks, and the Arkansas Razorbacks.

247Sports ranks him as the eight-best prospect in his class, as he will announce his choice via the 247Sports Channel.

Acuff talked to 247Sports about his relationship with Kansas head coach Bill Self and his thoughts on the program. He said, “They have a great family environment to where I felt like I knew them. I went there twice and they treated me great both times.”

“They are always a top three program, and Bill Self is a great guy,” the five-star guard added. “I love their program.”

The rising senior will play his final season of high school basketball for IMG Academy, located in Florida.

Kansas is still searching for its first commit from the Class of 2025 after the team finished fifth in the Big 12 last season with an overall record of 23-11.

KU’s season ended in the second round of the NCAA Tournament when it lost to Gonzaga, but the team returns several key players from last season, including Hunter Dickinson, KJ Adams, and Dajuan Harris Jr.
