Gus Malzahn and the UCF Knights added a new name to the Class of 2026 on Friday, flipping four-star defensive back Jamarrion Gordon from Alabama.

Gordon, a 5-foot-11 defensive back from Alabama, chose the Knights over offers from Alabama, Georgia, LSU, Ole Miss, Florida, Michigan, Penn State, Tennessee, and more.

Coming out of Jackson High School in the Class of 2026, Gordon is listed as a four-star prospect by the 247Sports index and the nation’s 217th-ranked prospect. He also checks in as the 20th-ranked player at his position and the 10th-ranked player in the state of Alabama.

Gordon spoke on his decision to flip his commitment with On3’s Hayes Fawcett, saying, “When I go 1st round out of UCF, my legacy will live forever.”

With his commitment, Gordon became the Knights’ second addition to the Class of 2026, joining 6-foot-4 receiver Keeyun Chapman in heading to Orlando.

The addition is yet another eye-opening addition by Gus Malzahn’s staff after dominating work with the Class of 2025. The group currently ranks 24th in the country, and with two solid playmakers in the Knights class of 2026, UCF now holds the country’s 36th-ranked group.

Gordon will have the chance to see his future team take the field for the first time in 2024 on Thursday, August 29th, against New Hampshire.
