On Monday, four-star small forward Amari Allen released a cutdown list of six teams, including the UCF Knights.
Allen, a 6-foot-7 forward from IMG Academy, listed the Knights alongside Alabama, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Mississippi State, and Nevada.
Coming out of IMG Academy in the Class of 2025, Allen is listed as a four-star prospect by the 247Sports index and the nation’s 98th-ranked prospect. He also checks in as the 18th-ranked player at his position and the 14th-ranked player in the state of Florida.
While Allen has yet to make any official visits to the schools in his top six, the impressive forward has already scheduled visits for each school remaining on the cutdown list. Allen plans to visit Minnesota on August 28th, Alabama on August 30th, Nevada on September 1st, Mississippi State on September 6th, Wisconsin on September 13th, and UCF on September 27th.
The date of the UCF visit is an interesting one as the Knights’ football team gets set to host the Colorado Buffaloes on Saturday, September 28th.
In a recent interview with 247Sports’ Justin Frommer, Allen discussed his timeline for a decision, saying, “By the latest, early October.”
While the Knights will still have to beat out some impressive programs to land Amari Allen, should be commit to join the Knights in the ner future, the Big 12 will have added yet another talented freshman to its ranks.
