Big 12 Releases its 2022 Softball Conference Schedule
Defending national champion Oklahoma will host Baylor on March 25-27 as The Big 12 released its 2022 conference softball schedule on Thursday.
The Big 12 season runs through May 6-8, followed by the Big 12 Tournament on May 12-14 in Oklahoma City at the USA Softball Hall of Fame Stadium.
Oklahoma won the national championship last June, defeating Florida State in the Women’s College World Series finals.
Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Baylor, Iowa State and Texas all went to the NCAA Tournament. Oklahoma was the nation’s No. 1 overall seed. Oklahoma State also went to the Women’s College World Series, after it defeated Texas in three games in the Stillwater Super Regional.
Oklahoma won the Big 12 regular-season championship, finishing two games ahead of Oklahoma State and five games ahead of Texas. The trio were the only three teams to finish above-.500 in Big 12 play.
Oklahoma then went on to win the Big 12 Tournament, defeating Oklahoma State, 8-2.
