After playing one season with the West Virginia Mountaineers, guard Noah Farrakhan will transfer to Hampton to play his final season of eligibility via his Instagram.
Before arriving in Morgantown, the 6-foot-1 guard played one season at East Carolina as well as two seasons at Eastern Michigan.
Farrakhan averaged 7.7 points, 3.0 rebounds, and 1.7 assists per game for WVU in 2023-24.
He was limited to 23 games this past season because of the NCAA transfer rules that sidelined him for the beginning of the season, but Farrakhan dropped a season-high 19 points in just his fourth game of the year in an overtime loss to Ohio State.
West Virginia struggled last season, finishing 9-23 and last in the Big 12 Conference. The Mountaineers had the worst offensive and defensive ratings in the league, while Hampton also had a rough finish in 2023, going 9-24 which placed them 14th in the CAA.
In just his sophomore season with the Eastern Michigan Eagles, the point guard had a career year, averaging 16.6 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 2.3 assists per game. He led the team in scoring 13 times, including a season-high 31 points in a win over Northern Illinois.
