New Iowa State women’s basketball signee Audi Crooks dropped 48 points on an opponent during a recent high school game.

Crooks, a 6-foot-3 center who plays at Bishop Garrigan in Algona, Iowa, signed with the Cyclones as part of a five-player class considered to be the highest-rated class in program history.

Crooks is rated No. 57 in the ESPNw Hoop Gurlz Class of 2023 recruit rankings and plays multiple sports at Bishop Garrigan. She is the three-time Iowa Class 1A Player of the Year and has led Bishop Garrigan to the Class 1A state title game three times, claiming the title last season.

Entering this season, Crooks has career numbers of 1,845 points at 71.1 percent shooting. She also has 955 rebounds and 287 blocks.

In track and field, she has won the last two Class 1A shot put state titles, breaking the division record last year with a throw of 45 feet one inch.

In volleyball, Crooks was a three-time all-conference honoree and led the Golden Bears with 254 kills and 70 blocks this past season.

The rest of the signing class includes forward Jalynn Bristow from Wichita Falls, Texas; forward Addy Brown from Derby, Kansas; guard Arianna Jackson from Des Moines; and guard Kelsey Joens from Iowa City. This quintet ranks at No. 10 in the 2023 ESPNw/HoopGurlz Recruiting Rankings at the time of publication.

Joens is the younger sister of current Iowa State guard/forward Ashley Joens and of Oklahoma guard Aubrey Joens. The Cyclones are ranked in the Nation’s Top 10 this season.
